Stages of the disease

Fibromyalgia

Methods:
Upon the closer examination of the 18 tender points we noticed that they coincide with known acupuncture points. While performing operations on extremities we find in particular areas 6 to 8 of these holes frequently glued up. The difference between the application of acupressure diagnostics and the search for painful "tender points" is the fact that the huge number of acupuncture points allows a more precise diagnosis. For this reason it was possible to demonstrate that very often fibromyalgia begins at one quadrant as CRPS and that the complete picture is displayed only in the course of a decade.

Staging using diagnostical acupressure:

FMS – Stage 1

Painful quadrant stage 1 (upper quadrant): it corresponds to the complex regional pain syndrome (the right side is usually the most painful)

FMS – Stage 2A

Painful quadrants: Pain over the diagonal on the right and on the left side, or pain on the upper right side and on the lower left side. Or, the painful quadrants can be over and under the same side.

FMS – Stage 2B

Painful quadrants: Pain over the diagonal on the right and on the left side, or pain on the upper right side and on the lower left side. Or, the painful quadrants can be over and under the same side.

FMS – Stage 2C

Painful quadrants: Pain over the diagonal on the right and on the left side, or pain on the upper right side and on the lower left side. Or, the painful quadrants can be over and under the same side.

FMS – Stage 3

Painful quadrants Stage II B: Pain on both upper quadrants and on a lower quadrant.

FMS – Stage 4

Pain on the four quadrants and on the whole body. Stage from generalized fibromyalgia.

Example of how a patient affected with Fibromyalgia (FMS) has represented his painful condition before and after the surgical intervention.
